Curel was born in 1977 in Santa Catarina, Caldas da Rainha, a place where the craft of cutlery passes from generation to generation. We began by serving the regional market. In time, our knives reached the rest of the country, and then went beyond its borders.

how we make them

Stainless steel, finished by hand

We make knives, pocket knives and kitchen utensils in Portugal, in our facilities of around 9,000 m². Every blade begins as stainless steel, a material that handles water and continuous use well, gains precision through industrial production, and is finished and sharpened by hand by our master cutlers.

We work for people who use a knife every day: at home, in hotels and restaurants, in fishing, salt cod, meat and agriculture.
